Dr Dan Asks...
Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
Your Second Visit to Our Ottawa Office

Day 2 - Report of Findings (about 25 minutes)
Your Report of Findings is a detailed review of the exam findings from your first visit. If x-rays were taken, they will be displayed and any findings will be explained. We take great pride in our patient education. The purpose of this appointment is to help the patient understand their current condition and what to expect from the recommended course of care. We encourage questions during this process so that the patient can more comfortably make an informed decision. At the conclusion of the report, your care can begin.
Next, what to expect during regular appointments.
